It's taking over the New Things thread ... everybody's duolingoing it.

Thought it better have a thread all to itself.

I do Spanish & like the app a lot, but gamification works for me in exercise too.

Duolingo's style of 'study a little often' is spot on

Occasional Froggy-style and less frequent Deutsch-sprechen. To remind myself of language lost.

Nice one Sharkster (that's the Danish for Sharkie*)

I am ----- doing Danish.

My missus is doing Welsh and has already dislocated her tongue trying to pronounce the Welsh for February...

French is my 'best' .. I started with that then decided it was more sense to tackle Spanish again. I'd previously got up to 'Suenos' volume 2 (intermediate) with the Beeb.

Will also revisit Italian (end of Italianissimo Vol 2 - another intermediate Beeb course)

Am complete beginner in German... but I want to do it!

Might be worth - for any Duolingo learner - looking at either or both of the Michel Thomas or Pimsleur spoken language courses. (If one is available for your chosen language of course.)

They *are* expensive but many libraries will stock the CDs. I think they'd work well as a complementary resource for Duolingo.

Some German has been done here, Mr Lemon10 had some German colleagues for a while so we both learned some using duolingo, very entertaining. I have of course forgotten it all now as its a few months since we did it. muppet

I can get by with some Makaton (BSL is a bit harder to comprehend because the sentence structure is not the same as in spoken English). The other day, I worked out that I knew over 200 signs. However, I cannot follow the experts as they're too fast for me to follow.
