Hmm well you're making crepes, which need to be thinner, aren't you? Mine are more what I call drop scones - they're light and fluffy but you couldn't roll them up. Just milk, flour, egg and ricotta and baking powder in mine. I've made them without ricotta - that's just an addition for more protein (and fat I suppose)

They REALLY shouldn't stick if you use a scrape of butter or oil.

Not that I'm a great baker or anything. I like experimenting!

This recipe just used water so I'm guessing they were aiming for a different effect. I was surprised how tasty they were but I might try with milk and eggs next time to see what they'd be like. I'll try a different pan as well as it wasn't a non-stick one.

Cheers!

This afternoon I was asked to play in a small pit band for a local theatre group. The newt is that they’ll pay me to play!
Financial remuneration is a first!

I got an email over the weekend from the stables who own the horse I part loan, asking me did I want to buy him?

I was very tempted because it would have been such a perfect escalation from last year, when my biggest Newt was that I ended up with a dog :-) But I really can’t, so I said no. I think I shall implement a 5 year plan to make it my Newt Thing for Spring 2023 though (and then where will I go after that? Will I have to acquire a farm??)

Yes, you probably will. Perhaps you could go for a smallholding in between times?

(pity about the 'no', but five year plan is good....)
