Thanks HG, still in the thick of the course, it’s very demanding but will be worth it in the end, hardly able to run 🏃🏾 because of it, just needed more sleep 😴 but manage to do strength training and yoga 🧘 online and some walking 🚶 and run 🏃🏾 when I can

Hey folks. Anyone got any experience of using Betterhelp? Just having a look at it, seems pricey but i have no idea what face-to-face would cost and if it actually helps then it would be worth it.
In a bit of a cycle of am I depressed, peri-menopausal, ADD, or just tired and lazy. The anxiety and mood-swings are getting beyond a joke.
Kinda need to talk to someone who is a total third party.

Hello, sorry you’re struggling. I tried to use Betterhelp last year when I was feeling very low but they failed to match me with a suitable therapist so I gave up. I did see a local counsellor face to face but we didn’t gel so I didn’t repeat it. I guess I just struggled on on my own, which isn’t much help I know! I recently offloaded some stuff by email to Samaritans and thst did help me make sense of a few things. ( Jo@samaritans.org. Not just for people with suicidal thoughts!) But I think face to face with the right therapist could help a lot. The cost varies depending on where you live and it’s best to find one through the governing body: BACP or similar.

No experience of Betterhelp. I found my counsellor through the BACP website. He does online (Zoom) appointments as well as face to face. I think £50 - £60 an hour is about standard outside of London. Happy to send you details but of course just because I get on with him doesn't mean that you will.

Hope everyone is doing well. I’m currently trying to cut down from 40mg citalopram to 30mg. So far so good but i think having plenty of things going on with the house and DIY is helping. Anyway month 2 of the 30’s before I cut down to 20.

Good luck LG 🤞 I went up to 45mg mirtazapine from 30mg just over a month ago and I've been feeling like utter shite. Mood is in the bin and anxiety sky high, particularly about going to gym or doing workouts in general.
