Amazon had it for delivery on the 1st April, when I pre-ordered, but it now says 'Not yet despatched'.

It'd be quite a niche april fools joke for there not to be a new edition, so that seems unlikely.

Am I being cynical, or do I hear the creaking sounds of ££ revenue ££ being generated?!

I can't imagine much is added over the 3rd edition. Perhaps a section on the new super shoes as perhaps they impact loading the legs and vdot score,

I opted for the 5K plan over the Gold plan. I am currently on day 2 of week 2. So far, so good. The 5K plan is set out as percentages, so you have work out the plan a bit yourself depending on the weekly miles you want to hit.

I started with how long the quality / interval days are and then how long I want to run for a long run, then make up the distance with easy runs on the remaining days.

Explicit advisory warning; this arrived in the post on Saturday. I’ve barely opened it, so I haven’t worked out what has changed yet.

IIRC, the 2nd edition had metric measurements...certainly for interval sessions it did.

T&F is entirely metric.

As is orienteering for that matter.

Only dinosaurs use imperial measurements these days. We shoud have switched completely in the 70s!

How dare you, you filthy swine. Great British measuring systems that deserve the moniker "Imperial", to sit happily alongside our magnificent Empire, must be preserved. The entire justification for Brexit lies within. We didn’t cast out the cheese-eating surrender-monkeys and the sauerkraut-wurst chomping chumps just to then adopt their simplistic forms of measurement. Why would you do that?! Treacherous talk. Next you’ll be telling us you don’t want to revert to a monetary system that has 12 pence in a shilling and 21 shillings in a guinea...
