Apparently the algorithms aren’t meant to cope with arm swinging like a watch but if you read it like a map then that’s fine. Which Edge is it you are looking at?

I know Garmin do handheld GPSes for walking so maybe look at one of those if you aren't going to use it for cycling?

Meglet Apr 2021 8:19am, 14 Apr 2021 21,742 posts	Meglet OS Maps on an iPhone are excellent for walking, though i haven’t tried a pre-plotted route if that’s what you fancy. We always take a proper map too. If you buy an OS map now you get access to the online/mobile version too
um Apr 2021 8:25am, 14 Apr 2021 4,532 posts	um +1 for OS maps. Although depending on area, I typically download as well, some places I visit don't have much signal. I also tend to print OS maps for my route onto A4 from bing maps folded into an airport security zip lock bag rather than take a full or multiple OS versions.
