Another cycle done. This one involved cycling on the road and actual hills! I had company so able to follow them. Now need to start practicing letting go of the handlebars so I can signal!

Nice bike HP. :-)

I visited the bike shop again today and they put the saddle on my Trek up and checked that it as at the right height (i would have put the saddle up a tiny bit more than was necessary). I hadn't known that there is a 'proper' way to do it and will now adjust my Orbea to match.

One thing that was said interested me, "that's 10mm more power into each side of every revolution of the pedals, which is a lot in the course of a ride".

As a short person, cycling is yet another sport where my lack of inches appears to be a significant disadvantage. But I now have another 10mm in my toolkit! Yippee?

Darn it, it was supposed to embed this...

Ah well, if you're wondering, I'm going to get wet and windswept on Saturday, that's all :)

I’m not exactly sure what I’m looking at. Is this a planning tool? I like a tool.

Just back from a group ride in the dark on mtb. It was fun.

Morning everyone. After last night's ride I need to go get a helmet mounted light. I have a reasonable handlebar mounted one which would be fine for road but was inadequate for mtb trails. Anyone here able to recommend? I'm looking at the alpkit hadron.

No the bloody thing hasn’t arrived yet - or indeed been despatched. I missed the small print in the email. It said your order will be despatched 29th (except for bikes) - my order was only the bike so it’s a bit frustrating.

I have an Alpkit head torch for running and it still works many years down the line. It's more than bright enough and does the job well so I'd imagine the Hadron will perform well too.

As for the above, it's off mywindsock.com, a site for geekery around weather where you can see stats for future routes and completed activities.
