I ordered my new bike, through Evans and via one of the cycle to work schemes, back in April. Evans mucked up my order and I had to re-order, by which time all the bikes were out of stock. So I ordered for the next batch but no one in Evans is able to tell me when they might come in... :-(

That's a pretty poor show. I would hope the shop would prioritise you GordonG. I am not holding out much hope of getting anything until Spring to be honest. I need to get my suspension sorted or get new forks in the meantime.

Our bike shop said things had been utterly crazy over the last few months and most new stock this side of Christmas was already reserved.

I've just been looking at Halfords online. Seem to have bikes available, to a degree.

I've also found out that if i was looking at a Boardman hybrid, I'd just make it onto a size small. Women's small, that is :-o Everything else, no way.

Dvorak, just the caution that if you buy from Halfords, expect to have to book into your LBS to sort things out sooner rather than later - maybe they've improved, but I've always found their workshops to be rather poor.

S'alright, just browsing. Though I do have three bikes needing maintenance. Having got the chain on the road bike past 11 000 km, it's probably time for a new one. (The one on the mtb, having been there for 23 years, has probably done rather more than that.)
