HP, there could be a couple of things to look at with your rattling gears. Set on the middle chain ring and also set the rear derailleur on a middle gear then look at the how it sits on that rear cassette. You can adjust it to be as quiet as possible using the rear derailleur cable end adjuster - just a small amount of either in or out will do. The look at how the front derailleur sits and if it is where the rattle is coming from. Does it rattle more at one end of the rear cassette or the other as you go through the gears? If so there might be an adjuster on the cable end at the handlebar. If neither of those completely sort out the problem it might be that the front derailleur blades have been slightly squished together so there is less space between them. You could try slightly spreading them apart if they look a bit bowed in, then readjust the front derailleur if needed. |

It was down until after 02:00 & then all of the vouchers in the first release were gone by 08:00 when I woke up. Don't know why I bother |

Came here to ask your views on the bike voucher scheme. I’ve tried the website several times today and it’s been unavailable every time. Perhaps what we think about it will be irrelevant anyway 🙄

The first 50,000 vouchers were given out by 08:00 so it's a case of waiting until they release the next batch now, Susie.

Susie - they only intended to issue a first batch of 50,000 out of the 500,000 vouchers last night as a first step. I assume the website was closed when they reached this number. Unfortunately those of us who are involved on the bike shop side can't access the site now either, so if one of the 50,000 who got a voucher came to us we would not be able to process it! So keep watching and if you have any specific questions, happy to answer. |
