I have a specific turbo tyre and use my summer road bike on the turbo over the winter so no need for swapping and changing :-)

I'm looking at getting a turbo now I'm housebound for a while and for the cost, I'll definitely get a turbo specific tyre. Quieter, longer lasting and less chance of a pesky blowout.

My newly serviced and repaired road bike is not working properly. Gears still not changing smoothly at front and chain rattling. We are trying to adjust the front derailleur but not having much success. Rear brake keeps jamming as well. Not a happy bunny.

Especially if you’ve paid to have it serviced

Well I solved the brake issue. I still can’t use the full range on the cassette when I’m on the middle chain ring. The chain rattles on the derailleur on the lowest gears. Hopefully those are the right words.

I’d be getting back onto your service guy

You shouldn’t have to do that kinda thing. Even tho you can....

I’m very happy to have gotten my Marin back last night from the Bike Guy

£30, tenner for collection and drop off
And Mabel is running lovely

Just a clean up and tighten up in all areas and she’s like a dream!
I took her for a teeny tiny ride last night and chucked a hill or two to get into the lower gears.

He’s said he’ll sort it out. I just need to get the bike to him.

Bike away for its service. Said it look it good condition although right away he said the fork was round the the wrong way - seemingly a common mistake if it came packaged that way and probably the reason I kicked the tyre a few times when turning as the wheel was too near the back - a turn with an Allen key and that was it sorted. He is going to check the brakes and gears and bring it back tomorrow :-)

I've done a couple of longer ride on the MTB (22 & 25 miles) but on mixed road/offroad. Both times my feet have gone tingly/numb after a while. I don't remember ever getting that when cycling before. Both times I have worn padded shorts which I never used to use. Interestingly my feet often go numb in the kayak too.

Any ideas of what I need to adjust?

If there’s a thread for this already, I haven’t seen it :-) But I thought it’d be good to have...
