Yes, MsG is correct. I use Schwalbe Marathon Plus Smartguard Rigid Road Tyre wiggle.co.uk which are puncture proof (not just puncture resistant) - using them for the last 10 years (?) I've never had a puncture caused by an object penetrating the tyre - including that recent sharp pointed L shaped piece of metal 3x1cm. One would be very unlucky to get a puncture through the less well protected side wall. |

Another one for the Marathon pluses. Fabulous tyre. Changed from Michelin Pro 4s (also very good), for a bit extra grip on the winter commute. Used for years without issue.

Thanks all. Managed to get a look at the tube and find the puncture. Looks like the rim tape has come adrift, and the puncture was caused by a spoke. Rather annoying on a brand new bike (especially as I have no clue how to go about fixing it) |

I’d start by contacting the retailer I think.

In principle, yes - but it's a royal pain to get to and from, and I suspect they'll take ages to sort it...

Will be a quick, and relatively cheap, fix for a local bike store if you cant get it fixed.

It is? Hurrah! I have three bikes would like some attention. I've had parts for the road bike for a year. (I did try, but failed at the first hurdle of breaking the old chain.)
