Katie had a similar problem to the one Meglet describes. In her case, we found a splinter of glass wedged in the tyre wall.

Also make sure you aren't running tyre pressures that are way too high or way too low. Takes a bit of experimentation to find what works for your combination of Tyre width, Body weight and typical road surface. Otherwise just invest in either Continental Gatorskins or Schwalbe Marathons, maybe slightly slower rolling (if thats an issue for you) but pretty much bulletproof |

Gatorskins are brilliant, I cycle on lots of country lanes which are full of bits and pieces on them

I find new tyres solve those issues. I had a horrendous first half of the year on old tubeless tyres. Now I am fearless!

Gatorskins here. When they start to puncture it's a sign they've done a lot of miles. Only exception was a sharp screw which destroyed both tyre & tube but was just unlucky that time.

As per Meglet's tip, remember to keep the inner & outer aligned, so you know which side of the valve hole to check!

Low pressure leads to pinch flats. I've done ok on gatorskins too but found them a nightmare to get on / off if needed.

Actually Flatlander was telling me about the tyres he runs which survived a pointy L shaped piece of metal recently. Sounded very durable.
