My Garmin Edge 305 seems finally to have given up the ghost after 7½ years of great service and it appears that Garmin no longer refurbish the things (probably because they'd quite like me to get up-to-date, grandad)

I'm not fussed about mapping (I generally plan routes in advance or just follow my nose and use OS maps when necessary) and wonder what experiences people here have of the newer models such as the Edge 510.

not as such HOD no... you can add a route to it I think but it will be of the breadcrumb variety rather than a mapped route. 810 does mapping.
