But to even get that near is totally astonishing to me doing a mere 1000 this year

You did some running. I didn't do much more coz of injury. Hoping I improve for 2013 and can go injury-free.

It's a tad blowly out there, so no biking for me today. Mind you, apart from my spin bike, I haven't sat on a bike in December so why change that today ;-)

Final mileage for 2012 - 1258 miles :-) more than doubling 2011 efforts :-)

It's a tad worky here today, quite apart from any weather :(

Well done, CtCD :) Another doubling in 2013?

I more than trebled my previous highest cycling mileage in 2011, and then did the same again in 2012, but won't be going for something in the region of 23,XXX to keep the pattern going in 2013.

Yes, well done CtD.

Not worky here at all - makes up for last Friday which was unexpectedly full on.

Theoretically leave at 16:00 today. Will probably leave at 14:00 ono.

Thanks, don't think I'll be doubling (or indeed trebelling) next years target if I want to find time for my other activities (and dog walking!)

I'm thinking of setting a conservative 1500 mile target for 2013

1500 miles sounds like a sensible and civilised sort of target. Any events planned?

Yep, about to enter a 86 mile event in the Borders in April, so better get back on the bike soon! I did the 50 mile route last year, and that was hard work with a particularly nasty climb towards the end (well, it was nasty pushing my bike up it!)

Rather high target seeing as I didn't quite make it to 400 this year but I have got a new bike sinc...
