I've read all of the books that followed RIWAF and I must say, very disappointed by the lack of skateboarding references.

Are you with me that the first one decent, the others on a sliding scale from readable nonsense to readable to meurgh, depending which one you pick up. Personally the Moldovans were a low point. Not a sentence I expected to ever write.

There's one where he lives in a small village in France? of somewhere. Bit self indulgent. Then one where he moves to a small village in the South West. Not brilliant. And no halfpipes and other down wiv da kids stuff.

Yes, Pyrennees (sp.?) - indeed. Not read the south west one but probably will at some point as I am a west country boy as you know.

The lack of half pipes is disappointing. Rather like Ronnie Barker's authorised bio - and then Ronnie did rep in Oxford... zzz. Brilliant man, dreadful bio.

I've read fridge and Moldovans. I don't recall the latter being any more contrived or irrelevant than the first. Not read the others. Not read any skateboarding biogs either.
