Hi. I just entered the Country to Capital, my first ultramarathon, targeting 9-10 hours. Does anyone have a decent route description or map of the route please? Thanks, Ian.

Welcome to Fetch. You are very bold, entering a race knowing so little about it.

Ahhha, I did this as my first Ultra last year, it's a great event especially straight after Christmas. Most of the route is fairly stright forward and there are likely to be people around you too. I should probably know the name of the trail as it goes right past my house. You also run past an Ostrich farm so if you see some big birds you havent gone barking mad... I did a fair bit of walking on the canal and managed circa 8 hours, binks you did 7ish I think and the winner who obviously has no social life did it in abotu 5.30. Any time after 8ish hours and you will be finishing in the dark, not a problem but just to be aware of and that light are a good idea. Any other questions, shoot. PS you guys have such cool Christmas names...:( |
