Yeah, I used the loo twice, stopped 3 times for my little Coke fix, stopped twice to eat my Freddos and walked/ran a bit and still got 3.45 so not bad. Wasn't a target race so wasn't that fussed. London's the real goal for me this year.

Time to sleep now :-)

Why did you stop to eat fred? cant you eat and run?

Legs are a bit achy today, must have been those hills as they were fine after doing 2 flat marathons last weekend!

D2D when are you planning on sorting out your marathon PB? I know you said somewhere you were going to have a go yesterday, not really an ideal course but we didnt know that til we started! Was it a lot harder than Gloucester?

Hellen - Yes, I found it much harder than Gloucester. If I knew it was going to be like that, I wouldn't have run it to be honest, didn't really enjoy it and won't be doing it again unless I get some major hill training in.

London will be my sub 3.30 race this year

Just looked at stats from my Nike GPS (how accurate - it logged a 26.19 run!) - elevation rose to 951 feet!

Thats a much more sensible place to go for a PB!

I would still have run it knowing it was like that, I just like to go into things with full information. I think that marathons should be ranked in terms of difficulty level!!

Yes, definitely.

I think if I did do it again, I would at least know what to expect this time but I still rank it as the hardest race I've ever run!

Do you have a PO10 Hellen? Here's mine: thepowerof10.info
