QQ for anyone who had Pfizer/Biontech vaccine: did you get a "dead" arm and how long did it last? Husband was jabbed two days ago and his arm still isn't quite right. Not worried, just interested.

Got my vaccination letter through yesterday for next Saturday morning, but I'm on early shift. Have managed to change it easily to next Friday, but no options available in the city - got an appointment up by where my sister lives, as I'm going to see her that day anyway.

eldest son has his last couple of weeks at uni in his final year, a few simple covid safe things have been organised before he leaves, they are gradually being cancelled as more and more people are now self isolating. After a rubbish year, he is now having a rubbish ending to it. I feel so sad for our youngsters. He, like the majority has followed the rules and played his part in getting us through this. He has worked for deliveroo which has really helped many people, he has managed not to catch the virus and he has booked his vaccine as soon as he was able. I hope people can recognise how much our young people have sacrificed.

My daughter was devastated when her graduation was cancelled last year. There was talk about it being this year, but nothing yet announced.

Thing is the moment has passed and it would be a bit like getting an olympic medal a few years after the event when drugs cheats have been caught,

I agree totally doc. My 16yr old has been very stoic but it's been no fun for them.
