It appears that the AZ vaccine is more likely to cause side effects than the Pfizer.

I don't have the figures but I'd guess that more people have had the AZ vaccine too - hence more reports of side effects.

This seems to be quite a good article: prevention.com

I had AZ and only felt a bit cold later the same day.... maybe because it was cold?! :) My son had AZ this week, he is not one to complain but said he ached all over which was ok but the "unrelenting shivering for some hours" was pretty unpleasant! I guess we are all different. :)

Oh dear, I should be getting a letter this week. I shall prepare myself as I didn't enjoy having the chills last year when I had the virus.

My friend had her jab last week, she'd had covid over Christmas. She woke up at 2.15a.m. with the chills, exactly 12 hours after the jab, then spent all the next day feeling like she did at Christmas.

I’ve got mine booked for Tuesday! (I am young(ish) but a mutant 👾)

I’ve never minded injections, necessary part of life but I have to say I am actively looking forward to / excited about having this one. To the point where I hope I don’t blub or get emotional on the poor sod jabbing me.

I think it’s just about what having it represents and means if that makes sense.
