When I was in Oman many people had but-D deficiencies despite the sunshine the Omanis are always covered and avoid the mmmm being outside. Many of my British friends & colleagues were the same. They said it didn’t have to be full sunshine & recommended sitting outside for a morning cuppa would make a difference. I had my medical & my levels were fine but I love being outside

I was told ages ago I am deficient in Vit D. I have never got in the habit of taking a supplement. I will try to change that.

I was deficient in VitD when I had a blood test in winter so I've been taking multi vitamins since then. Going to try and meet up with my friend this weekend in case London goes back into lockdown. |

Cod liver oil tablets appear to be a cheaper option than Vit D tablets from the likes of Holland and Barrett.

I used to take a multivitamin every day when I got to work. I still have a jar or two in my desk that I haven’t seen in six months...

I am also out nearly every day with skin exposed even through the winter but I've been taking the winter Vit D supplement for a few years. The supermarkets do cheap ones.

A standard Vit D3 supplement is not expensive (I was surprised how low my Vit D levels were when measured last summer - 26 nmol/L and no doubt contributed to my low bone density....)
