Official advice is that we’ll be living with it to a significant extent over the next winter. I’d like to be more optimistic than that.

I was hoping you were sorted Doc. What are you waiting for now? I’be just completed my Moderna training so I guess we are expecting to start giving that soon.

I can't comment on the mathematical accuracy of this, but this article on LFTs and false positives looks interesting.

Walked over to the PCN vaccination centre on the off chance they had some spare. Had to wait 20 minutes until the end of the session, but got my first jab. At least I don't have to phone the GP surgery any more (well not for 9 or 10 weeks).

I am so tired. Short staffed on the PCN side yesterday and today which means that I ended up working one and a half shifts yesterday and slightly longer today. A shame you aren't nearer DocM!

Well done LMH!
I think the blood clot thing came out at an optimum time here, places like Canada are reporting low uptake because of it. People really are idiotic aren’t they? They are literally going back into lockdown again and having curfews but the infinitesimal chance of a side effect is stopping people getting jabbed.

People are idiots (sorry generalisation) we willing get jabbed for typhoid, yellow fever, god knows what to go on holiday but a virus that could make us ill or even kill us or a loved one & some people are still resisting.

Thankfully I don’t know anyone in that camp but I hear/see people who won’t. It’s sad really and I think the media don’t help.

Still plenty of willing victims here, we had our biggest day yesterday, almost 700. So it seems we had indeed simply run out of over-50s last week.
