Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I'm enjoying his development as a heel, I must say.

Viper is still far too 2 dimensional.

I hate the changing room stuff, but my 9 year old loves it.

I don't think the eliminator really works. The finalists were the ones very quick at it. The men's winner was off in 5 seconds in Duel every time. The eliminator rewards agility, climbing and speed, but not strength. The skills needed to be good at events like Duel, Gauntlet and Atlaspheres don't feature at all, so we end up with fast slim people going through, and the tough muscular people losing out.

I'd change the aerial slide (which does nothing) to a drop slide, and make space for a new tasks, such as pushing a huge bounder 10 metres. I think something that requires raw strength would bring back the balance a little more.

Good points!
Yes, something like moving/carrying an awkward weight would level the playing field a bit.

Yup, like wall lifts like I mentioned in the last page. For me I'd keep the zipwire but change the balance beam to something strength-based and push the travelators back a bit more.

I watched some old episodes back a few weeks ago and it's clear the arena in Birmingham was bigger, as the course had a little more space to breath - in Sheffield it's just packed tightly together.

We’ve been for a climb at our climbing wall this morning. Athena was in, again, with her parents. I spoke to her dad briefly and he mentioned her training. Up until the last series the female Gladiators have been doing the wall from a standing start right at the foot of the wall. The men, Nitro in particular, have a running and jumping start, which gets them going quicker. She was practicing the run and jumping start start as away of improving for next series.

The next time she is in and a kid in there asks for a photo with her with a muscle pose I’m going to ask for one too.

Got something to say?
