I did think that if the tide was turning. I might have to leg it, but it was worth it. :-)

I hope you gave it a suitably aquatic name. I've started picking up ownership of occasional middle-of-nowhere zones that I guess not many people visit, and I'm enjoying messing up the names :-)

That would be 4 points .. walk out, run back
Or go big, for you could get 6 points ... walk out, swim back

I tried to grab one of those squares this summer in Cape Cod bay in Massachusetts, but I lost my nerve when I was about knee deep and 3/4 mile out to sea. I think I ended up being just a few feet short of the zone line when I turned back. These were from when I was still going strong.

I have bern known to scramble up a steep hillside, just enough to get a zone...

Or leave the bike, then walk through thick gorse, to get a zone...
Yes, I am pathetic! :)
I also paced up and down the ferry when visiting my sister, to log it and get a zone in the middle of the North Sea :)

During a drive commute, I’ve stopped at a conquercise cross-roads to get four squares. 🙂 it’s fun to get 4 squares for only 800m of effort.

I own one local all sea zone that requires careful tide timing, but well worth the annual visit as the dog loves a good beach run. Another I only visited once requires a long run down a sand spit, or balancing along a pipeline that is only above the waves at a very low tide.

My least favourite zones in pursuit of a flawless lawn were four in three locations that needed a lot of yomping across boggy moorland. A great deal of uncivilised language was involved.

I acquired this zone today due to the previous owner’s entries lapsing. It’s the most sea that I own!
