Build each day's route (takes time, but worth it for the memories of the towns, villages & crappy budget hostels), then add a manual training log, attach it to your saved route & date it to the day you ran/hiked/crawled/cried. As it's backdated, it won't count for Lawn but the route will show in grey on your world map, and the visit to each square is logged. I've found it occasionally patches out for a few miles, but the majority credits you with square visits.
