Took it easy for the first half ( although still quite speedy) as I decided my lurgy meant I shouldn't try and stay with the lead group of 10 who set off at about 7.30 pace. So el bee! And I ran together until 12 miles when he started to struggle and I cold-heartedly pushed on. Overtook about 7 people after that, although 2 came back past me on the slog up through Rhossili. Spot of cramp near the end but pegged it down the hill at 6mm pace to finish. 15th place in 4:28:25 which is 12 minutes faster than Dorset for a course 1.3 miles longer (albeit easier). Lovely to meet Ogee, NaomiP, contro and loca. And massive thanks to v'rap and el bee! For lending me their spare garmin when mine conked out at the start - made a massive difference.
