How worrying is a nosebleed in a 2 year old with a cold/virus? Cuthbert woke up having nosebleed. Stopped quickly, not much blood lost. Alert but a bit sorry for self. Colour etc fine. Can we leave it or is it a get him checked job? If he was older I'd put it down to snot but 2 is a bit young isn't it? |

It nothing to worry about.:) The nasal lining is inflamed fighting off the cold viruses and so is considerably more fragile than usual. No need to get Cuthbert checked unless you get a nosebleed that won't stop. Love the snow on your thread |

If it's just a little nosebleed with a cold, then you needn't worry

Putting decorations up Not up his nose, I hope? One of Smallest's friends has suffered from nosebleeds since toddlerhood (they are now 8) and still has them, which came as something of a shock to us when he stayed the night earlier this year and his bed in the morning resembled a seen from a Peckinpah film. It seems some children are just more prone to that kind of thing than others. It must be quite disturbing though until you know that this is "normal" for your particular child. |

I used to get them a lot when I was wee. The all purpose excuse was that I had a weak blood vessel in my nose, and I did have cauterisation once or twice. I remember I had a bad one once and coughed up what, to me, looked like a massive blood clot onto the carpet. I'm still here |

Nose-related episodes, especially when blood is involved, always make the backs of my knees and the crooks of my elbows feel wobbly. |
