No idea what our school is doing but as we are shielding it doesn’t matter to us anyway.

Our academy trust has said that they are not opening until 8th at the earliest. A friend who works at one of the primary schools in the trust says they can't take any more children anyway. It's a tiny rural school with about 40% vulnerable children and only 3 classes over the entire primary years.

Not sure what the secondary school is planning, but SweetPea has officially left (GCSE year) and Marigold is y9.

I think I'll enquire again about wfh, but AFAIK there isn't enough tech to go round.

T9's year are being mixed up for next year (1st time ever) which is good. We can nominate 3 people he'd like to be with. We can think of 3 people, I just hope he can start afresh with friendships.

Good luck Totriornottotri.

We have work set, similar format as we had from Easter to summer hols. As you say, no contact time with the teachers but we can upload work if we want them to look at it and they have a chat group on teams where they can contact a teacher.

Still working on it round my way, and cannot yet offer school to children of key workers (which puzzled me a bit)

AOB, probably not enough staff prepared to go in.

lammo
What a fucking nightmare.

mrs lammo and I are both fortunate to still be working full time, but that doesn't leave much wiggle room for home schooling.

They both have daily teams sessions with their class, which of course requires setup time and assistance plus the devices to do it on.

I find it REALLY stressful being at home all the time anyway without mrs lammo working and trying to keep the kids entertained at the same time.

It's going to be a tough couple of months, please let it be no longer.
