Sushi.
Yet, being the crucial word.
It’s a slippery slope Benny Tempo, a very slippery slope!

Given all the bother I’ve had with my knee and the fact that I haven’t successfully trained for or completed any longer distances for years, I think I’m probably out. I’ll hang on to the hotel booking for now - it’s fully refundable for months yet - but I’m unlikely to make it

That's a shame, HellsBells, but understandable given your current knee issues. I hope you get some relief soon and can start to enjoy running again. x

Too early to call, HB. It would be a shame if you couldn't be there, but always a risk when you enter a race a year in advance.

Yes, don't write it off yet, HB. An 18-week marathon training programme for Chester starts at the end of May. Just sayin' ..... ;) x

Sushi.
Blimey. End of May. That makes it seem close.

I need to read website to see if I can change distance to the full.

Just an idea.

They usually allow transfers up to full right up to race day Sushi, it's the nervy late withdrawals from full to metric that they have to close off earlier due to demand, if I remember correctly.

Shame about the injury woes HB.

Maybe you and HB could arrange a swap, Sushi? And then if HB can't run by October there's usually a late demand for Metric places. I had a queue for mine in 2019.

Sushi.
HellsBells did type earlier that ors a shame if you can't come and hope your knees behave. Dunno where it vanished to though.

That's an idea Vrap. What do you think HB? I'm not quite 100% yet but it's definately a possibility.
