Excellent run, Kev. Apart from one or two climbs, it is surprisingly flat and a lot of people post quick times.

Disappointed to hear that the J's Hospice have cancelled this year's marathon due to the coronavirus. Hang on - it's in October!

However, the main reason is that other events, which usually take place earlier in the year, have been pushed into the autumn making it harder for runners to plan for this one as well. Also, due to the global situation regarding COVID-19, they did not want to prolong any uncertainty for those wishing to enter, so have made an early decision.

It's a bit early but entries are now open for the 2021 event on 17 October. £42 for affiliated runners and £44 for unaffiliated. I'll probably enter some time in the New Year.

For the first time, there will also be a half-marathon starting at the same time. There used to be a 3k or 5k race (I can't quite remember) a few years back so it will be interesting to see the response.

Enjoyed this one in 2019, and it afforded chance to visit son in East London. He's still residing there. so will make one in. Will probably enter in New Year a well.
