I'd rather have chocolate, or lemon drizzle, or flapjacks or banana & chocolate, or victoria sponge, or black forest gateau or anything that is nice in a cakey kind of way. Christmas cake is ok if it's a really good one but too often turns out to be a bad cake with huge lumps of marzipan and inedible icing.
