Not doing it this year as have Amsterdam Marathon in 3 weeks but good luck to all who are running. It is a great course and despite a little congestion at the start it generally isn't too bad
p.s I read they are changing the Reading Course to take out that hill in the first 3 miles and make the last few miles a little nicer (taking out the out and back before you get to the stadium that you have been able to see for the last 3 miles thinking you are nearly there).

That would be awesome, it is such a morale drop when you think (for the first timers) that you are nearly there only to be diverted right!

Yes I read that too Anj! I didn't mind the out and back, but I guess I'm in the minority there!

Disappointingly, I've been struck down by flu..not feeling so well at the moment, but I hope it clears up by the weekend..as does the weather..

Its changing by the day, but looks wet, less wind than before and cooler than it has been. On a selfish note, suits me,but not my watching wife and kids..........

James74, talking about our spectator spouses/family (who always end up with the worst of the day!) have you managed to make the supposed on-line tracker work so they can keep up with your run? Keep trying and it can't find the page as if there is a fault.

After London where my good lady thought I'd be able to see Gold and Black balloons through the tens of thousands of spectators, we now utilise the good old fashioned cow bells - I know a few Fetchies who also use them and it's nice when you hear them and sometimes it's not yours but another Fetchies group
