It is actually flatter (according to GPS data) than other half marathons referred to in the Dead Sea Scrolls as flat but last time we mentioned this the Fetchforks were rattled on the grounds of using facts in a running discussion.

Looking forward to it! I've done it before and it was great fun (my half PB!) and the timing works well for London Marathon training.

I've got a spare coach ticket leaving London at 12 noon Easter Friday and back on Saturday 5.30 if anyone wants it for free ?

Will probably go and watch/cheer - I was going to volunteer, but gave up when the application form asked for references!

"Robin" was third Welsh man, so ended up on the podium in costume to receive his championship medal.

Fragile Do Not Bend
Silly woman on BBC Breakfast said that all the club runners they beat must have been embarrassed - as if those two guys had just turned up and run with no training or anything.

Reminiscent of Farah winning the New Orleans half and the TV newswoman asking him if he had run before.

I expect all those club runners would have been equally embarrassed on the 25 or so occasions that Carwyn has turned up to finish first at Cardiff parkrun, or the few occasions Mike has.

Was anyone else here obliged to traipse around St David's shopping centre after the race like I was? I found it mildly amusing watching hundreds of knackered runners being forced to shop with their partners/families knowing I'm not the only one! :)

Cardiff hosts a great event, the best big half marathon in the country imho.
