But - is it flat? Not flat in the measurable sense though, flat in the "I feel it is flat" way preferred by people who discuss this subject.

It's flat, apart from the bits that aren't.

The first bit that isn't flat, no one remembers, because it is only 3 miles in, their legs are fresh and they are still too busy making sure that they don't fall over anyone else while trying to grab a drink. That is the most not-flat bit.

The later bits that are not flat hurt more.

I have just received a shirt and buff for the Cardiff 2020 half marathon. That's about 10 months earlier than I expected

This race has moved again. Now March 27th 2022. I hope that shirt they sent on registration in 2019 still fits me by then (i havent worn it yet). The buff is looking worn as it has had much use.

By the time I run this race it will be 2.5 years after I registered for it. Sign of the times..
