Mrs Jigs (Luverlylegs)
I would be very interested in taking part, are the tests mid week though? might restrict me due to work.

No, the blood was just taken for testing at the end of the session, like for a normal blood test.

The VO2 max test was done on an exercise bike, with electrode things to measure heart activity, blood pressure cuff which they checked several times, and a mask for the oxygen in take etc.

My VO2 max is 48.53 ml/min/kg and 96%

Only had the CT Scan today and an MRI yet to come. I have a page full of numbers that I have yet to work out from the ECG, echo and VO2 max test :-)

The CT Scan and MRI are definitely at the weekend (I had the CT Scan this morning)

I went to the first session on a Friday morning but they did say they can organise weekend sessions where necessary.

Columba
I'd love to do it, but not if I've got to pay my fare to London and back three times over. Wonder if it could be worked round Visits to Family?

It might be worth asking, Columba, but yes it would be very expensive if you made the trip purely for this.

email sent :-) I don't mind the travel costs as I we will take the opportunity to run while we are in London.

I meant to say, Mrs J, it takes them a while to respond.
I'd forgotten I'd put myself forward when I heard back from them.

I'm currently taking part in this study. I did think it was for women of 50+ but looking again...
