Out of interest, has there been a change in ownership or management at Milton Park, or just a change in circumstances?

I can remember back when we were down there they couldn't do enough to help out; fixing bridges and all sorts.

As always, it’s complicated and the media articles are a touch disingenuous

Thanks. Interesting read. Rather one-sided, but I have some sympathy with their position.

But the Junior event is still held there on a Sunday?

Disclaimer - I am no longer associated with Cambridge parkrun and have not been party to the discussions

Juniors were suspended until the final decision was made on the 5k, juniors had their first event back this morning. Juniors are less of an issue for the park as there are fewer people at the event and the park is slightly quieter on a Sunday morning at 9am than on a Saturday.

I’ve deleted the rest of what I wrote as it would have been unhelpful

It's a great shame - I have been to Milton Country Park in the past but never as a parkrunner and it was always one I had hoped to do. I'll have to try to get to one of the other Cambridge ones some time though.

Fulbourn Hospital parkrun returns in a couple of weeks. That loud clanging sound you've just heard is me dropping a hint about volunteering.

And we have a test event this Saturday morning at 9:00am.
