Cerrertonia Nov 2019 11:19am, 8 Nov 2019 11,361 posts	Cerrertonia The new course probably lets them re-open main roads faster, takes in some lovely touristy bits of Cambridge (running through a couple of the colleges) and avoids the fairly unpleasant last mile alongside busy traffic along Elizabeth Way bridge that has been a feature of the route in the last few years. So those are all positives. I think there are some concerns with some narrow paths quite early on in the race - you're pretty much in a group for the full distance, so any pinchpoints are a problem. I guess they're planning to do a much more staggered start to avoid that, which I assume is why we're being asked to provide a target finish time within a couple of minutes.

Cerrertonia Nov 2019 11:31am, 8 Nov 2019 11,363 posts	Cerrertonia Well, Grantchester is nearly 10 metres higher than the centre of town, so maybe some locals will struggle with the thin air at altitude but I really can't see such a slight incline being all that tough.
