nice morning this morning. and the cake in nero's was good too!!

A65, the strags are expecting us now on thurs so we will have to turn up!

good to meet you, cat. and well done. judging from the smile on your face you enjoyed the BPTT experience!

well annoyed with myself about my time. I was actually really comfortable pretty much the whole way round. doh! I KNOW I could have beaten it.

so this tells me a 3 course meal and a couple of drinks the night before is definitely good BPTT strategy!! :-)

Tappers, happy birthday to little miss tappers.

thx, gobi.

just bought a garmin. tee hee!!! so I have a new toy now to help me pace a bit better in the future! obviously now I have justified to myself that i NEED it rather than just wanting one.

no worries

I just run flat out as for me it is a spinrt but I can give you a technical way of working out what pace to try and run.

well at the moment my technical way is just judged on discomfort! not the best, hey?

new toy might help a bit tho. I hate 5k's. it literally feels like running faster than you want to for longer than you want to.

today was probably better because I purposefully held back for the first km as I wasn't planning on even trying for a PB.

that and a lot of carbs yesterday! :-)

but any technical advice gratefully received!!

I find them really a pain as well, short and hard but they are GOOD for you

holding back is not how to run a 5k

LOL. 5k is not a sprint for me tho. 1km I could go hell for leather but not 5k!
