I've come to join in this thread as I have *registered* for BPTT now although not done one yet ;) How does the hill in Greenwich Park (the outsides ones of the park which are steeper) compare to the hill of doom in Richmond? A possible 7 or 8?

hmmm, Kitty, I would say, casting my mind back, that Greenwich is steeper than hill of doom. actually it depends. Hill of doom sort of traverses up, which takes some of the kill out of it, but going straight up (eg on the road on a bike) is a b@stard.

so if one was to go straight up both then they are possibly similar. but one doesn't go straight up the one in RP unless one is completely mad. :-)

I think we should. And if you're really good, we'll let you run down it too.

Ah but you want to do BPTT too on Sat, don't you? That might make the HILL OF DOOM out of reach...

Hurray! (for going downhill....)

When I lived in Cape Town I did some runs up part of Table Mountain and it was one of those hills that are too continuously steep to keep going but it hurt your knees to come down, so not good. But the beautiful scenery made up for it.
