Or you could always consider Bornholm - it's a mara distance run over 5 days - so it's a bit of a running week - but, by all accounts, very very sociable too in a booootiful part of DK..... We are thinking of doing it in 2008!

PSC - RFJ Jnr will be 12 in Nov, he has done BPTT once and now WCTT. With him its quite easy, if he wants to run he can, if not he doesnt..... he really started enjoying running over the winter, just after we moved to Andover as there is a good Running club here with a thriving junior section (with no pressures) and that helps. He also has ASD which impinges on the fact he is not very functional in team sports, but is beginning to adapt to running nicely.

But to be honest, its relly nice to have some nice Father / Son time whilst wife and daughter get time......

And yes Snaps is still raving about that race....... looks good and would love to do it, but wont be this year.

Take care

Mrs BooBoo LaBoy
What's CPH??

The only marathon I am doing this autumn is Berlin - looking forward to it very much too.

Bertie - I just wasn't on form really, I felt really tired and I was also contemplating just plodding - but you know what it's like when you set off and you get all competitive!!

Boo CPH=Copenhagen....

RFJ - Great news, my boy is a few months ahead of yours so I will gently encourage him more. He and I do loads of sports together (1 hour in cricket nets this afternoon, 2 hours in squash court tomorrow, that sort of thing) so running would be the icing on the cake. I totally agree with the father/son time thing - our time on squash courts are fantastic - we can play as (near) equalls and it's great to help each other with shots, and stuff like that as well as just chatting about life, universe and stuff!!! Thanks for the reponse - a good incentive for me I think.... Mind you he has already nicked 1 pair of ascics and 1 pair of misunos..... just because I said that I didn't think they were giving me blisters!! I hadn't even broken them in LOL

should have added that some sports are limited as he has epilepsy - so biking is out - Doctors orders!! It's bolloz frankly as he so rarely has fits and they are all at night, but he isn't interested in bikes as a result of the stupid doctors statement...... so running it is, and cricket, football, squash, hockey, oh God I am shattered just thinking about it!! :-)

PSC - interesting, as Mrs RFJ had epilepsy (nocturnal fits only) which were rare, but big when they hit. She was allowed to do everything apart from drive. But the laws have now changed on that too. She is now off medication and fit free for over 5 years.

Ref - RFJ jnr, wish we could do more together, he hasnt had any of my trainers yet though which means access to wallet and sports shops...... just as dangerous.

Take care
