Are these really as good as people make out ?
It's only a short run down the M4 for me,
So I'm definately thinking of running it once a month !

RG, I spent last year doing ultra training and found I had dropped some leg speed. I use this as a monthly hard workout to check to see if I am doing my speed sessions. I have run faster this year over 5k than any other time since I was 18

Well worth the trip. FLAT AND FAST

Hollywood, I've jumped off stuff just like that pic :¬)
RG Postie -

As 5km races go I think this route is not especially fast, but it is flat and totally traffic free.

The race itself is low hassle - turn up, run the race, queue for less than 2 minutes to register your result and then either hang around chatting, leave or go for another run The organisers then send you your result by email, put the results on the online database and also publish some photos too.

The main thing I like about this race is the fact that you can run the same course regularly - so it does give me a chance to measure your training progress.

Oh yes - and it's free!

Hi Hollyood, Gobi and co - thanks for the piccy - I've ordered my Fetch shirt, so will be "joining" you soon! I'm really looking forward to the TT tomorrow, even with this arctic wind blowing in!
And now I know why Gobi's so fast - he's capable of shape-shifting into a flying squirrel! RGP - I'm definitely doing this once a month, 5k races are pretty rare, so it's nice to have something small and friendly like this to keep pushing at.
HW, does it carry on throughout the year? I think I could only get to May, if I remember rightly.
