Will get the miles in Max :)

I have 3 laps of Richmond Park planned for tomorrow which should bring me up to about 21 miles. i hope to do this in about 3 hours.

I was planning to go out early tonight - 7:30 & get in nice & early. If this post comes with a time stamp then you may guess that the drinking situation got a little out of hand :/

Kieran

you know that doing 21 miles today/tomorrow is to close to race time to be of any real use and may even have a negative effect. For the pace you race 3 hrs for this run is also probably to fast.

just my view regards

Maybe better to do two laps, Kieren? Especially after drinking!

Well wasn't it nice of someone to try putting up km markers on the BPTT course? Shame the 3km and 4km markers had fallen down and the half way marker was too far off the track for anyone to notice.

Little orange diamond-shaped plywood things with a black number on. One on the fence by the playground. One on the tree approaching the cricket ground. One had fallen off a tree near the back gate, and the fourth had fallen off the tree by the bench on the grassy long run-in. Hope someone puts them back!

Cheers Gobi - I'll heed that advice :) Quite a few people have said that to me.

I seldom drink but yesteray I met up with smome friends I haven't seen for over 6 months & stupidly entered a round I didn't exit till the early hours of today.

I'm just out o bed :( Did feel rough as **** but amazingly a cup of tea some toast & a bowl of porridge seems to have cured me.

Going to let the food settle then do 16 miles along flat canal towpath just to try & get me used to pacing. I think I'll probably try to go out at about 8 1/4 mm & see how that feels

Hope the run was good, Kieren

Cat - I didn't see any of them, but I've got to the point with BPTT to think that if it isn't really hurting and/or I'm feeling comfortable, then I'm going too slowly :-)

Hollywoof!
Gobi - I slightly disagree with you - but think the value of K's long run today is mental (confidence) rather than physical.... but if Ixus has managed 16 miles then that should be enough to give him a feeling for what's ahead :-)

Cat - you didn't make them, did you? (And no I didn't see any of them!)

Ixus/BB - How does it feel to know you beat an Olympic silver medallist yesterday? Although it's true that she might not have been trying that hard...

Right - got to go now - got to go help Shiraz who's busy building her trophy shrine (I hope BPTT aren't expecting it back next year!)
