Hollywoof!
Not my "normal" race tactic though - last week when I was really pushing hard (the A race of the year?) it was: - easy paced swim - avoid tiredness and problems - steady-followed-by-aggresive negative split bike - which I messed up. - steady-followed-by-aggresive negative split run (with halfway being two thirds way) - which I messed up. So not really playing my joker on the strongest sport (I wish the swim came last) (not complaining about |

B.B.
It's a cracking event, ST. About 200 do it every week - and it's completely free thanks to volunteers like Hollywood and Stumpy. Nice flat course

it's a lovely event, ST, usually a bunch of fetchies present running and/or helping out. often a fair few supporters - OH's, children, dogs not sure it is worth a special trip from Liverpool, but other people have used it as an excuse to 'make a weekend of it' (eg Mad4Purple came down one weekend) and re 5k times, the finishing times are very broad - caters to all abilities. and they stay until the last person finishes. today I think that was about 39 minutes, so I think you would be OK! go check out the website. bptt.net |

Toffee - I agree with Stumpy - even for the rest of us 5k is over so soon it's hardly worth a journey from Liverpool, but you go so fast you'll end up doing 12 hours travelling for 16 minutes of running. However, since it's always a Saturday morning it would make great sense to come and do it on a weekend when you were doing something on the Sunday more worth travelling south for, such as the Windsor Half Marathon, or a marathon south of Watford. It would be GREAT to have you to BPTT - we'd make sure we had a big turnout of Fetchies to welcome you. |

ST bushy park is fab, it's great to meet so many fetchers and I will be going down again once I am running again, even if I only stop one night. It's a nice atmosphere and people will usually cheer you down the finishing straight.
