Well done PB!!!! It's all psychology. You did the running.

I didn't stop my watch so I don't know what time I did. Since I cycled over first, and once round the route I'm not expecting miracles, but it might be around 20 mins give or take five seconds, depending how well Stumpy's wangled the results.

are you suggesting (gasp!) that the esteemed Stumpster might ... cheat?? :-O

Stumpy
I didn't cheat!!!!

and that logging the results is hrder than it looks when people just chuck the disc on the table and then mumble their name at you.

or some who just tell you the number and expect you to know their name intuitively!

Yes and the best bit Stumpy is when they cant quite speek so they point to their name dripping sweat all over the paperwork and make a mess of everything..........eughhhhhhh!

It was good Toks.............when i eventually realised the course was long i didnt feel quite so bad!

I felt good and was overtaking people all along the course so i felt good about that too and for once i didnt die in the last 100mtrs. Check out my training split times and you will see :-)

Now I'm really going to have to get very anal about BPTT. Bertie's Garmin thought it was 3.38 miles. I cycled round this morning and my bike thought it was 3.35 miles befor they added on the extra 0.02 miles at the start. Gobi said "it felt long" - again before they lengthened it.

I'm going to make sure my bicycle is properly calibrated, somehow, and measure the BPTT again. The bike is incredibly consistent on distance. I can cycle round the same route and it'll display exactly the same distance every time.

I'll let you all know when I've done it.

Hollywoof!
Cat - here are the instructions - iaaf.org - this is the latest copy co-written by Hugh Jones - who did the official BPTT measurement and also often certifies races like FLM... Good luck proving him wrong :-)
