Ah, yes - a FEW - not 12!! :o) Are you doing the triple?? I really fancied that, but I am at work for the Monday. Sometimes it works out that Dublin's in my half term, but not this year. :o(

Well - 23:?? with a niggling shin is pretty good going then isn't it. I really will have to try and get down for one of these. Unless they fancy doing a Bushy Park TT Tour. It seems only fair that they should spread the fun outside London. We'll swap you that for some water.

LOL! water would be gratefully received.

I was being paced and came in about 30 secs faster than I was aiming for. pacer wouldn't let me check my watch the last 1500m or so and later told me he hadn't known what we were aiming for but as I hadn't threatened imminent vomiting he kept pushing the pace. and annoyingly kept talking at me as he was barely breaking a sweat!

so now I know how I am supposed to feel doing 5km! :-)

So, now you know how you are supposed to feel are you still going to do another one? They just really hurt don't they? Not quite as much as 10K I suppose, but it's still a pretty uncomfotable way to spend 20 minutes or so.

Sub 23 next then?

sub 23 soon definitely. not this week tho. :-)

need to do a few speed sessions first.

5km is horrid. don't know why I keep doing it. running faster than you want to for longer than you want to.

have got a 10k target to get to as well (which I know I should be able to do, just need to sort my pacing out)

Yeah - some speed work will definately see the times tumble. I say this as someone who has not actually done any speed work for over a year now, but I know that if I wanted to get quicker that's what I would have to do.

Have you got a 10K race planned, or are you going to get really fast at 5K first and then just do one?

'really fast at 5k' ROFL!

am scanning for a suitable nice flat 10k..... :-) found a couple. just need to enter them.

and I do BPTT actually cos it's nice when it is over. and there's often a good gossip to be had afterwards!
