Tomorrow's Mirror has a supplement. I'll probably not buy it. |

I didnt do the expo or the finish (by my finish) it was torrential rain and I was frozen so headed to get kit..did suggest it to garth but he swore! I've got a good one on course at Tyne Bridge thanks to Kevin and I've got a finishers one on the balcony of the Hilton with my medal and Tyne Bridge with the 30th Great North Run Banner...looking at Kev's photos Im not sure I will get any of the Marathon photos as my number was curved over..although I may be in Garth's photos as we pretty much kept together until 11.5miles! |

Back home a couple of hours ago an happy happy altho very ouchy ouchy! I *think* Scotty an I were aiming for Sub 1:50 so a little bewildered when he dragged me through the 1st mile in a PB of 6:51 and a 2 mile PB of about 14:10 Think I was hyper an yacking too much when he effectively told me to b*gger off (he was far more polite) at about 9 miles! Finished in 1:48:34 :D Really enjoyed the day an the course - v lucky with not plenty but usually enough space to run - it was strangely from 10 miles on I found myself having to dodge folk the most. Chips an Guinness tasted fab afterwards No idea when next years is but loads of B&Bs on way to ferry had signs up saying they were already full for GNR 2011! |

I ran past Cheryl Baker. I know this to be true cos she had Cheryl Baker written on her t-shirt. However, what does strike me as odd is that she seemed to going slowly (no offence CB if you read this) and judging by my start position and thefact i passed her at about 3 mile I have concluded that Cheryl must have started with the elite pack or very front of orange. Strange. |

Nonentities all start at the front. They have their own special pen. That way nobody interferes with the BBC interviews.
