Brilliant stuff, Keefy. Next time you should definitely say it.

My train is Brompton-tastic tonight. No less than six of the finest folders in my carriage :¬)

Yikes Rach with the reversing car. I had somebody do that to me when I was on the GPZ one time - not so easy to leap off a motorbike! Now that I've started thinking about buying a Brompton, I see them everywhere!! I want to stop and ask them all "how far have you cycled" and "which model" and "how many gears" ...

Silly question here

I know i have dithered in the past about getting one still haven't trying to justify the cost and how long it will take to save money one what i have paid for it

But what are they like through puddles of rainwater. One road on my route (a country lane) gets a little waterlogged when it rains a lot last night or rather this morning when it belted it down there were big puddles galore

Pammie, after reading this thread I knew a lot more than most people who sell Bromptons.

Not sad in any way. This thread contains an item of useful information which I have *never* seen elsewhere (thanks, Sarah and Rach) - the correct position of pedals/cranks pre-fold - pedal nearest to you, assuming you fold the bike away from you, at just past 10 o'clock.

I remember taking delivery of my first Brompton the first time and I was at work. It was already unfolded. Got on cycled to the station and got off. I must've looked a right twit. There were no instructions as to how to fold it and no one had told me, as it was mail order.

It took me about 15 minutes and was like a mensa challenge! Seat post down before folding was my major problem! Shame it took me so long to figure it out. How embarrassing!!! lol!
