Got my Brompton yesterday! Very nice but glad it came with instructions or I'll still be trying to work out how to unfold it :-) Took it for a quick spin and all is well.

Now for cycling clothes...

I think folding a Bompton is a bit like driving a car. It seems arcane and complicated until you get the hang of it, and then you suddenly can't understand it *not* being easy.

TOP TIP, save you reading back to where Rach and Sarah passed it on to me. Assuming you are standing at the 'folding pedal' side - that pedal at about the 10o/c position is the best place for it when you start to fold.

Ta. Did indeed have a couple of abortive efforts with the right pedal making a nuisance of itself when folding in the front wheel. Don't want to look a chump at the station on Monda.

Keefy Beefy, Excellent news!! Here's my tip for cycling clothes:

- Brogues
- Tweed jacket
- Flat cap
- Monocle
- Polished flat shoes
- Cycling shorts for underneath trousers

OK, maybe the cycling shorts is going a bit far - but the other things are a must!

I'm looking forward to taking part in the World Brompton Championships this Sunday :¬)

LOL. Am worried about how I'll manage to smoke my pipe and change gear at the same time.

Saw the flyer for that. Looks fun. Good luck!

I rode in today in collar and tie for the first time today. It felt *right*.

Mrs DB and I plan to be at Blenheim so will give you a shout if we spot you Rach.
"Come on Fetchie" or some such inane comment!
