It seems arcane and complicated until you get the hang of it, and then you suddenly can't understand it not being easy. TOP TIP, save you reading back to where Rach and Sarah passed it on to me. Assuming you are standing at the 'folding pedal' side - that pedal at about the 10o/c position is the best place for it when you start to fold.

Here's my tip for cycling clothes: - Brogues - Tweed jacket - Flat cap - Monocle - Polished flat shoes - Cycling shorts for underneath trousers OK, maybe the cycling shorts is going a bit far - but the other things are a must! I'm looking forward to taking part in the World Brompton Championships this Sunday :¬)
