Geppers - why not just strap your normal bike to the back of the car and ride that? A bike rack is considerably less than a Brompton/Other and you'd not look like a Londoner.

x-post, Rach - sorry. That, like Sarah's, is very helpful, and I thank you. Wasn't considering second hand as it goes. 'Personalisable'? How so? I *think* the other brand they had at the place by NSY was Mezzo, and they just looked nasty. |

Wiz: everyone with any sense is a moulton fan, though they're technically seperable rather than foldable (hence I let RachE's "original" comment about brommies slide...)

Oh BTW I'm totally with Rach. If i had to buy another fold up bike I would defo buy a brompton. Without ashadow of a doubt, no questions asked. There's a 5 year guarantee on the frame and 2 year guarantee on all parts too |

I'm still waiting for the definition of 'personalisable'. Until yesterday I thought they were only available in red, too... |

Oh and what Rach means by personalisable is that you have your Brompton built to your own desiired spec. You choose all the bits you want/don't want and they build it exactly for you. no extra cost for doing it, but you normally have to wait 8 weeks. See here: foldingbikes.co.uk You acn choose tyres, gears, brakes, frame type, rack, lights, bag carrier etc etc |

Sorry, GregP - I missed your comment!! Sarah's link is good, or you can look at this order form straight from the horses's mouth (which should satisfy your internal geek): clients.squareeye.com (Lizzie - that commute could be 30 seconds on a Brompton ;-)) |
