And me. Short, slow version.
I've done the Ashton Court parkrun at least twice. There is indeed a long downhill section, but one has to run up it first.

The Great Raemondo
Does anyone remember the guy who used to rent grass skis and sledges at weekends and in the summer at Ashton Court in the early 90s?

Looked a bit like the captain of the Dawn Treader from the BBC series of the same sort of time.

In that case, you should run up it backwards and that's almost certainly like running downhill.

Yes! Another ex-Bristol student here. We generally visit at least once a year, but not I 2020. Would be great to have an excuse to visit again and meet fetchies too :-)

About This Thread

Maintained by ♪♫ Synge ♪♫
For discussion of the Bristol Bridges Walk. As at 2021, the full route visits 45 bridges in a distance of 45km. There is a reference page maintained by Bristol Civic Society (see link below) and there is also a handbook which can be purchased through that page or on Amazon: Jeff Lucas's "From Brycgstowe to Bristol in 45 Bridges" published by Bristol Books.

The route includes a large loop of around 20km down the River Avon to take in the M5 motorway bridge at Avonmouth and one other, so it should be possible to devise a route which excludes these and offers 43 bridges within around 25km. Sounds like an idea for a run ...
