Bristol to Bath? That's practically on my doorstep (well, it's a lot closer than the TBC, anyway) so I'd be up for another group outing.

*also looks forward to Chris' blog*

I'll keep an eye on this. I have a son and a daughter living in Bristol, which gives me somewhere to stay the night. But - oh! - 13 miles is absolutely the extreme end of what I can do. Unless I can walk bits.

I used to run and cycle along the railway path, and it was almost exactly 13 miles - but they've altered the route since then. I think the new route was longer, so maybe the 13 mile figure you saw hasn't been updated?

I'm going to tackle it. I'll get a bus for the last bit if time begins to run out.

OK - I have cycled it years ago and remembered it as longer than that. It is over 2 miles from Bath station to the proper railway path start. I have measured what I think is the route in bike hike and it has come out, station to station as 15 miles.

Thank you very much. I have also measured it as best I can on Google Earth and it comes out at 15 station to station. So with 10 mins wasted at the beginning, I have to do less than 16 miles in less than four hours. Fingers crossed!

Or else my bus pass will come into play.
