Thanks for the travel advice 12bd - I'm thinking of heading straight to Hove Fetchpoint this year, but didn't know there was a direct train.
I usually go to Jubilee St first and then walk along to FP but last year they closed the underpass at the bottom of West St (or they made it one way the wrong way or something!) so I had to fight through the crowds to get along to Fetchpoint. And could only cross at designated crossings so people jams everywhere - it was hell and my anxiety was through the roof!!

Good luck everyone and see you just before 19 miles :-)

After hearing my families' comments about getting through the crowds, I don't blame you, kwala. Will miss not seeing you at 2.5 miles but as always I look forward to seeing everyone at Fetchpoint.

Had a sports massage on Tuesday (£15 for 30 minutes - great value) and four knots dealt with. Looking forward to Sunday although I am slight apprehensive after two lacklustre races in the past month or so. Should be an enjoyable day.

Weather looking good for Sunday - not too warm as has been a problem in previous years - let's hope it doesn't change :-)

On Sunday, the trains from London Victoria leave at 17 minutes past the hour. So the 08:17 arrives in Hove at 09:27. The 09:17 arrives at 10:24.
As I put in a previous post on the forum, from Hove direct to London Victoria, they leave at 55 minutes past the hour. So, 13:55 from Hove gets to London Victoria at 15:04, the 14:55 arrives at 16:04.
Be careful at London Victoria. There are two trains an hour from Victoria to Littlehampton. The one Fetchies should get on is obviously the one via Hove. There is one that goes via Horsham & Arundel.
Ive checked the National Rail website & there are no engineering works this weekend, allegedly.
Now all Ive got to do is find out where the Fetchpoint is. Someones said Hove Lagoon, someone else has said The King Alfred Swimming Pool. Mind you, those two locations are only a mile apart.
Oh b----r. I should have put this on the Brighton Marathon Fetchpoint Forum. To late now. I'll do it later.

Last entry before catching the train down to the south coast. I wish everyone a safe journey and I hope you all get around the course without a problem. Have a great day on Sunday!

That's a shame Serendippily :-( I'll be heading into the main town later on to meet up with some other Fetchies for drinks so might see you wandering around!
